- Knowledge Module: The statutory learning and development environment, NQF Level 5, Credits 8.
- Knowledge Module: Workplace learning and development planning, evaluation and reporting, NQF Level 5, Credits 8.
- Practical Skills Module: Plan, conduct and report on a learning and development needs analysis, NQF Level 5, Credits 16.
- Work Experience Module: Conduct skills development facilitation (SDF) processes as required for mandatory grant payments, NQF Level 5, Credits 8.
Course Outcome
On completion of this Occupational Skills Programme, candidates should have the foundational understanding, knowledge and ability to be able to analyse learning and development needs within an occupational context, compile learning and development plans and reports, and guide stakeholders on learning and development trends, practices and quality assurance.
The Skills Development Facilitation (SDF) Practitioner skills set is intended to develop competencies for employees located in the Human Resource management within an organisation to ensure that effective skills development is driven within the organisation. A candidate who achieves competencies for this skills programme will be able to act as a Skills Development Facilitation Practitioner. The SDF Practitioner is responsible for planning for, conducting and administering skills development planning in an occupational context.

- The statutory and regulatory framework that governs the occupational skills development environment.
- The statutory and regulatory framework that governs skills development funding.
- National occupational skills development structures, policies and priorities.
- Workplace learning and development planning.
- Learning intervention sourcing, evaluation, and selection.

Occupational certificate: Training and Development Practitioner, NQF Level 5.

- Employment or self-employment in highly legislated and regulated Skills Development Arena.

Entry Requirements
- An NQF Level 4 qualification with communication.
- Learner should have a good comprehension of English.
